Meet Beautiful KYRA! AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: This sweet and amiable gal is a perfect 55lbs. Not too big and not too small. Kyra is a curious, happy young lady of almost 12 months old whose tail is always wagging even though she originally arrived at the shelter as a stray. Kyra hadn't had the best start to her young life when she came to us and had already had a litter of puppies. She was not given the care she deserves, but after some serious ?TLC? and a chance to learn what it can mean to be a beloved family member in her foster home she is ready to find her forever people.
Kyra loves people and really enjoys being petted. She happily returns the favor with lots of pitty kisses and booty wiggles. She is learning to be brave around men although she is still quite timid with them and prefers ladies. Kyra is eager to please and has responded well to an eight week training course. She now knows ?sit? , "wait", "come" and "down". That is just the beginning of what she can achieve! Kyra has some manageable environmental allergies and will need to be in a smoke free home. Kyra adores car rides and is very calm riding shotgun.
Kyra's reaction to other dogs has improved since her spay. She will do the best in a home as the "queen of the castle", but with appropriate introductions, she may do well with a non dominant female friend. She pays a little too much attention to kitties and will need a cat free home. She does however love children! Due to her extra wiggly loving, a family with children 8 years old and up would suit Kyra perfectly.
